The Workbook
When depression and anxiety took the colour out of everything, my wife suggested I make art for 100 days. I did. It brought me back, so I built the guided workbook I wish I'd had: daily prompts, mood check ins, trackers, and room to make a mess.
About David Zak
I'm David Zak, a Canadian artist, motion designer and entrepreneur based in Dundas, Ontario. For twenty years I've worked across film and motion design, original art, and building companies.
In 2009 I cofounded ArtResin, a nontoxic epoxy resin for artists. We grew it from a kitchen table idea into a brand sold in 20 to 30 countries, stocked by retailers like Michaels, Blick and Amazon, with a team of up to forty people, before exiting in 2024.
Alongside that I've kept making: motion design and animation for agencies and global brands, spatial scanning work, and an art licensing venture that cleared original work for Netflix and Amazon Prime productions. After the exit, I came back to where I started, making art by hand. That daily practice became the 100 Days of Art Workbook.
